Born as an idea submitted to the Town through Facebook, the Town of Atoka hosted our first Santa's Ride in December of 2012. The event, featuring the Jolly Old Elf riding atop an Atoka fire truck, brought extra Christmas cheer to every street and neighborhood visited. At the end of the night, Santa hosted a Meet and Greet back at the fire station -complete with candy canes, cookies and hot cocoa and a chance to get those last minute gift requests directly to the Big Guy.
In 2013, in response to the overwhelming feedback received from our first year, a second night was added and Santa's route was dramatically expanded - visiting new subdivisions and offering an enhanced photo session with Santa back at the Walker Parkway fire station on Friday night.
This year, Santa's Ride will again cover two nights - visiting more subdivisions and delivering more Christams cheer than ever before. On Thursday, December 15, Santa will visit the Woodlands at Capital Way and several subdivisions including Faulkner Heights, Lochmeade, Green Pastures, Oliver Woods and Westerfield.

On Friday, December 16, Santa will return to the Blaydes, Williamsburg, Deer Ridge and Templeton Farms subdivisions. He will also be making visits to the Sterling Ridge, Oak Creek and Squires Groves subdivisions as well ! The motorcade will return to the fire station on Walker Parkway at 8:15 pm for an Open House event. There will also be photo opportunities at the fire house with Santa before he heads back to the North Pole to finalize his Christmas Eve preparations.
