March 31 is the Final Day to Request Storm Debris Collection
Posted on Monday March 31, 2014
All requests to collect ice storm debris must be submitted to the Town by the end of the day on March 31. Even though the brush may not be collected by March 31, the request for collection must be received today.
Following the February and March ice storms that impacted south Tipton County, the Town of Atoka extended our enhanced brush collection services for Town residents through the end of the month of March. The Town typically offers a brush collection services for residential trash customers but in the wake of the recent storm, that service has been expanded to all Town residents.

All requests for collection of ice storm related limbs and damage must be received by the Town by March 31. As a reminder, brush should be placed curbside BEFORE submitting a collection request.

Residents who have previously submitted a collection request but who have not yet had their brush collected DO NOT need to re-submit that request. Town staff is continuing work on collecting the brush and should complete your collection in short order.

As of April 1, standard rules for yard waste collection will go back into effect. Those rules include bundling and size/quantity limits and collection will only be available to customers of the Town's residential trash program.

Once debris has been placed curbside for collection, residents can request a pick up online at or by calling Atoka Public Works at (901) 837-5301. Storm debris collection will be offered at no charge to all Town residents through the month of March.
