Atoka Revises Water / Sewer Fees for 2012
Posted on Friday March 09, 2012
Atoka Water is lowering the installation fee for auxiliary water meters by $300 effective April 1, 2012. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen also recently approved adding an after-hours fee to the Atoka Water fee structure. Rates for water and sewer service remain unchanged.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen recently approved two changes to the Atoka Water fee structure.  Rates for water and sewer service remain unchanged.  The following fee changes will take effect on April 1, 2012:

  • Auxiliary meter:  The Town is reducing the cost for adding an auxiliary water meter to your existing water service.  Auxiliary meters are often used to water yards and flowerbeds and to fill pools and wash cars.  The price for adding an auxiliary meter will be reduced from $700 to $400.
  • After-hours service fee:  From time to time, a customer has a need to have their water connection turned on outside of regular business hours.  This happens when a customer comes in after 4 p.m. with a request for a new service or when an account had been suspended for non-payment and the customer calls in after 4 p.m. to restore service.  When this happens, an employee is called in from home and paid an overtime rate to provide this connection service.  This new $40 fee helps cover the cost of the providing after-hours service connection or reconnection.  The after-hours service fee will be in addition to any other fees normally associated with restoring or activating new service.  This fee will apply only to after-hours connection or re-connection service calls – emergency water or sewer service calls will never incur an after-hours fee.
